Australia Plans To Cut Import Tariffs On Clothing And Footwear To 5%

KimCarr, Minister of innovation, industry and technology in Australia, announced the proposal of the Australian textile and footwear industry association to specify how the industry should take part in today's growing global market competition.



The report recommends building innovative capabilities at the grassroots level, and supporting the reduction of tariffs on textile footwear industry by 2015, and recommends that tariffs be reduced to 5% between 2010 -2015.
